Chris Whitaker

Chris is the newest member of the Union Hill team.  After serving another church for two years he was called to serve as our Worship Pastor.  If there is anything you should know about his guy its that he loves to Worship!

Chris is married to his lovely wife Tara and they have one son named Colton and the Whitaker family is in the middle of a process of adopting another child from outside the country.  Chris is a family man who loves his wife and son.

Before entering the church ministry, Chris spent several years on the road traveling with various Southern Gospel artists.  Some of those include:
Won By One, Crystal River and most recently with Mike and Kelly Bowling.

"Being a Worship Leader is the BEST ministry position I have had up to this point! As a Worship leader I have the privilege to lead and worship with my church family every week! Being a Worship leader gives me the opportunity to be able to lead the people in many different music styles and prepare the hearts to hear the message that GOD has for them thru the pastor. It takes much preparation and prayer to find the heart of GOD on what HE may have us do that particular week. I have seen GOD move in many different ways in church corporate worship in this way and to be a part of that is very humbling! Being called to lead worship in the church is a calling I do not take lightly."
