Sunday School Director – trying to keep up with the Sunday School happenings. I’m responsible for keep track of the Sunday School enrollment, attendance, class material and pretty much anything that is going on with our Sunday School Department. I provide the Sunday School Reports – weekly and monthly – to Bro. Mickey, Bro. Mike, Glenda and Doris.Web Site Administrator – responsible for keep the majority of the website events updated on the website. I work with Bro. Mickey on updating information, pictures, etc, as the website needs updating.
Choir member – this is a very enjoyable part of what I like to do at the church. This is one of the ways that I love to show Jesus how much I love Him.
What you enjoy most about your church job: Getting to know people on a more personal note. I feel that a lot of the work I do around the church has to do with my spiritual gifts. I am more of a behind the scenes type person. I like to help organize events - create handouts, keep up with attendees, talk to other ladies from surrounding churches, etc. Taking trips with our Senior Adults. I really just like to be around people of all ages.
What you love to do when you are not working: Riley & I traveling, playing with the grandkids, spending time with family including my church family, reading – I love cookbooks, going to Ladies Conferences, Bible Studies.
Hobbies: Traveling, collecting cookbooks from area of our travels, taking pictures, working on the computer, making crafty things, crocheting – I enjoy making lap robes and prayer shawls. I have made several shawls for homebound ladies. I would like to see a ministry where I could use my crocheting skills to benefit others. My sister and I sent scarves to a VA support group to be distributed as needed during the Christmas holidays.
What you love most about Union Hill: The people are very special to me – their love and friendship means the world to me. I have watched kids grow into very mature adults and I have learned so much from others that have been around a while and also from some that have already gone home to be with the Lord.
